Bill O’Reilly Explains The Tide But Can’t Explain The Moon…

I thought he was being a jerk when he pulled out the tide thing when talking to Dave Silverman.

I was wrong.  It’s because he is a total nub!

  1. Shawn says:

*facepalm* really? Is his really that stupid? He is a nub… and the thing that annoys me is that he is so arrogant about it and so dismissive about everything (i.e. science)… how can he be famous?

  2. Darrel says:

“he is so arrogant about it and so dismissive about everything (i.e. science)… how can he be famous?”>>

Because the people watching him engage in the exact same behavior and appreciate seeing it condoned/encouraged and rewarded with a prime time presence on TV. It’s a sign of a country brimming with intellectual adolescents concealed in adult bodies.

  3. Darrel says:

We have very good, very plausible, non extraordinary, naturalistic theories explaining how the “moon got there” and answering all of Bill O’Really’s other questions. But he prefers the God o’ the Gaps. If there is a gap in our knowledge (and none of his references rise to that level) then he thinks it takes “less faith” to stuff a magical ghost in there.

So his theory for how the moon got there is, God said “moon” and there was a moon. Same for bunnies and froggies and all the rest. See? Easy. Easy answers to a complex universe. That’s what children like, and Bill O’, is, first and foremost, a child.
