Priests for Life, a Catholic organization … …announced August 1 that it will not comply with the Health and Human Services (HHS) contraception mandate which went into effect on that date. The mandate, which is already the target of over a score of lawsuits filed by nearly 60 faith-based organizations, requires that all non-church employers provide their employees with health insurance that includes free access to sterilization and contraception — including abortion-inducing drugs.

There appears to be a growing trend in the catholic church of defying US law.  They are flexing their muscle and want to be able to do as they wish and make you comply.  Catholic are not supposed to use birth control – ever.  We know that they do and the church can’t make them comply.  Now they want to use the power of the state to force women to comply with their will.

“Priests for Life has the highest respect for civil government and advocates the observance of all just laws … this policy is unjust, and today I reaffirm our intention to disobey it.”

They respect civil government?  No, No they don’t.  This is not an unjust law.  It simply makes contraceptives available to employees.  They organization often hire a wide variety of people.  catholic and non catholic.  Each person must make their own choice.

The problem for the catholic church is that people are choosing to NOT follow catholic teachings.  They cannot get members to follow the teachings and will try to use the law to impose their will.  This is why people need to stop supporting the catholic church.  Please stop going and stop giving them your hard earned money.
