How far in the right direction is our DNA as compared to various canines? I have regular conversations with my dogs, and even though they don’t respond with speech, we do have an excellent mutual understanding. Unfortunately, I believe cat DNA is a couple of percentage points above our level of understanding; our cat looks at me the way I might view — well, a worm.
