Egypt Blocks YouTube
Posted by Phil Ferguson on February 9th, 2013 – 2 Comments – Posted in UncategorizedI was hoping that Egypt would make progress to being a modern and open nation – Guess not!
A court in Egypt ordered on Saturday the suspension of YouTube for a month for not removing The Innocence of Islam, a controversial film deemed insulting to the Prophet Mohammed, the state news agency MENA reported.
The order by the country’s administrative court also applies to websites that assist in the sharing of the 13-minute video.
OK Egypt…. I dare you to block my fucking blog…
Just like a child throwing a tantrum their behavior cannot be rewarded. When they protest we should show the videos or cartoons more. When they realize that their behavior increases the images – maybe they will stop. However, if we take down every image they are offended by we could lose everything.

Could only watch a few minutes of the video; it’s of very poor quality. I feel for those citizens in Egypt that want true democracy and freedom from religious despotism. Keep on mocking
When my kid was little and throwing a hissy fit over something, my invariable response was to hold up a hand and declare that I wouldn’t hear a thing he said unless he could calm down and speak rationally. It took a few years, but by the time he was 6 or 7, he stopped throwing hissy fits. Islam is what, 1500 yrs old now? They still haven’t figured it out yet, because nobody can just say, “Shut the hell up until you can talk like a civilized human being!”
