Entire Family Kicked Out Of Church For…..Posted by Phil Ferguson on August 23rd, 2013 – 2 Comments – Posted in Uncategorized
Can’t pray away the gay? Well, you can kick them out!
Elders at Ridgedale Church of Christ told Linda Cooper and two relatives that their public support for Kat Cooper, Linda Cooper’s gay daughter, went against the church’s teachings…
Not for being gay (not that there is anything wrong with that) but for simply supporting a gay family member. They were told they would be kicked out unless they…
publicly atone for their transgressions.
I guess they should have just thrown here out into the street!
All of this because when Kat Cooper wanted health benefits for a spouse of the same-sex her mom did something awful.
“My mother was up here and she sat beside me. That’s it,” Kat Cooper told the Times Free Press of Chattanooga. “Literally, they’re exiling members for unconditionally loving their children – and even extended family members.”
I wish all parents were this good. If it ever comes down to choosing between your kids or your church, you must choose your kids.
Her answer to them … is that she had committed no sin in her mind. Loving her daughter and supporting her family was not a sin…
True! There is no such thing as sin. Their lives will be so much better without religion.
“The sin would be endorsing that lifestyle,” Ken Willis, a minister at Ridgedale Church of Christ, told to the Times Free Press. “The Bible speaks very plainly about that.”
The bible is also very clear about slavery!
I hope this family takes this gift of being thrown out of a church and walks away from the lie of religion. Do you think they can do it?
