Back in August Bill Nye had an interview with The Big Think and he explained that “Creationism is not Appropriate For Children“.  Many fell in love with the video and it has almost 5 million views.  Bill Nye explained, in a way that only he can, why creationism is so bad.

Evolution is the fundamental idea in all of life science, in all of biology.  It’s like, it’s very much analogous to trying to do geology without believing in tectonic plates.  You’re just not going to get the right answer.  Your whole world is just going to be a mystery instead of an exciting place.

The idea of deep time, of this billions of years, explains so much of the world around us.  If you try to ignore that, your world view just becomes crazy, just untenable, itself inconsistent.

And I say to the grownups, if you want to deny evolution and live in your world, in your world that’s completely inconsistent with everything we observe in the universe, that’s fine, but don’t make your kids do it because we need them.  We need scientifically literate voters and taxpayers for the future.  We need people that can—we need engineers that can build stuff, solve problems.

…in another couple of centuries that world view… …just won’t exist.  There’s no evidence for it.

Classic Ken Ham style.

Ken copies the look and feel of the Big Think video.  However, he fills it with nonsensical gibberish.  My favorite line is….

Bill Nye Really Doesn’t Understand Science.

Ken goes on to create his own definitions of science because, he lives in a bizarre little world where ignorance reigns supreme and the bible is the best science book ever.  The video of his mental gymnastics hit Reddit Atheism and they ripped him apart.

Now Ken is saddened that the “secularists” are viciously attacking his raging stupidity.  Those evil secularists are the reason that he won’t allow comments on the YouTube video.  He informs us that they are so mean because, they are insecure.  He explains….

The only reason they respond that way, is because the bible tells us the knowledge of god is written on their hearts.

YES!  Ken that is it!  You got me!

Or…..

Maybe they are so upset because you dole out a string of lies that are stunting the mental development of an entire generation.  History will look upon you and frown with the knowledge that you set back the world at least a generation.

Please, watch the video below and pull out some more hilarious nuggets and put them in the comments below or just tell Ken Ham why you are so insecure.

It is 3 and one half minutes of comedy gold!  I could watch it over and over.

  1. Ron says:

Uh, Ken — you do understand that you can’t write ANYTHING on a heart, don’t you? First, all that blood would dilute the ink, making it run & causing it to be unreadable. Second, I’m pretty sure just GETTING to that particular muscle would kill the person who owns it. Besides — writing on flesh — isn’t that a violation of Leviticus 19:28?

  2. YoRpFiSh says:

Ken’s panic is the best. He never saw the info age coming! Now that any 12 years old can whip out a smart phone and fact check, and they do, Kenny feels backed into a corner. Disable comments on a YouTube video…and wham! A mirror hops up and world gets to trash you anyway.

Good bye Ken Ham! I hope I can get a piece of your museum when they rip it down, a keep sake of crazy stuff humanity no longer believes.

  3. Tanner says:

This guy really makes me worry about humanity.

  4. Quattrone says:

I tried to watch that before and I just couldnt. Rather than inspire comedy it just fills me with anger. I can’t stand this level of stupidity.

  5. Jet says:

I’m just glad he lost the beard, he looked super scary before. Now he’s just sinisterly stupid looking.

  6. Sunshine Bob says:

Ken Ham is living proof that evolution doesn’t affect all subspecies

  7. Oddman says:

The people who believe in a creator god and accept evolution are too tiny a number to even count because none exist. The vast majority of people that claim to accept evolution really do not accept evolution at all. They accept their own version of evolution – or junk evolution.
Evolution is random mutation and natural selection – not god guided mutation and god guided selection.
Humans are decidedly not a predicted result of evolution.
We are the result but not an intended result.
Ask the question of any christian and they will tell you humans were the intended result – which is NOT evolution but JUNK science.
What’s even sadder is that people are making up pseudoscience to fit their faith which totally corrupts the actual science and completely disrespect the thousands of scientists and millions of hours devoted to the science itself.
Theistic evolution is a perfect example of junk science. That a god is somehow guiding the mutations and selections that make up evolutions is hysterical and so poorly conceived.
A god would have to be purposefully throwing asteroids the size of Mars at the earth to nearly destroy it and tilt it on its axis to affect specific changes in mutations along with all the other quintillions of interacting agents such as regulating volcanic output etc . . .
And what kind of god guides 99.9% of his creations to extinction?
Absurdity in the name of faith.
The sad fact is only about 10% of the population accept the actual science of evolution – random mutation and natural selection with no species an intended result.

  8. haha says:

Is this guy serious? That’s a funny video

  9. Imagicka says:

0:47 – An agenda not to teach children the bible? Isn’t more like Bill Nye would rather children be taught the bible correctly? Instead of the literal interpretations of allegories and fairy tales?

Of course Ham here would rather have everyone taught his form for biblical interpretation. It’s just easier when everyone isn’t cherry-picking the good bits, right?

    0:53 – Slime? Hmm… poisoning the well I see?

Bill Nye doesn’t understand science? Then you say that science is another word for knowledge, so we have historical science (knowledge) and observational science? Where did you get your science degree from Hammy? A crackerjack box?

1:17 – What does evolution have to do with engineering? False equivocation. Of course only a fundamentalist who takes things literally cannot recognize an obvious analogy here. Of course, Hammy has never heard of bio-engineering either. Or he probably dismisses it as Satan’s work.

1:35 – Hoyle’s fallacy? Really? Nice way to sneak that in there.

2:40 – If you keep repeating that Bill Nye doesn’t understand science that is makes your accusation true. But of course, that’s not how you were taught was it Hammy? Keep saying it over and over again until you believe it.

3:05 – Don’t teach children how to think critically? When you know what a logical fallacy is Ham, then we’ll talk. You are the one telling children what to think, not how to think.

3:54 – No, Creationists are happy to teach their children the lies about evolution. Otherwise there would be creationist scientists out there getting their Nobel prizes for debunking the theory of evolution, and coming up with cures for the common cold.

He says ‘humanist’ with such distain. I also find it amusing as well as telling that voting/rating as well as comments are tuned off in this video.

  10. Lucifer says:

I love close to the end where is says you have gods word and you have mans word Lmao! They are the same thing ha ha man created god!

  11. Lucifer says:

  12. Patrick Bateman says:
