The Public Enlightenment – Folkeopplysningen!

…a six-part edutainment/documentary series on the ‘alternative industry’, its science and irrationality. It was produced by Teddy TV and broadcast on NRK1 (Norway’s equivalent of BBC1, ie the country’s main television channel).
Their goal? To investigate a lot of different woo: detox, homeopathy, astrology, bio-resonance, psychics, acupuncture and quantum healing.
Are the claims made by the various alternative offerings possible from a scientific point of view? What does the available research say? Why is it so popular?
I wish we could get shows like this in the US.
