Young Life – $250 Million To Indoctrinate Kids!Posted by Phil Ferguson on August 26th, 2013 – 12 Comments – Posted in Uncategorized
I just learned about this new Christian group call “Young Life”!
They want to bring more little kids and high schoolers to Jesus.
Reaching a World of Kids (RWOK) is Young Life’s initiative to double the number of kids we reach each year from approximately one million to more than two million by 2016.
I guess they are not so good with math or the calendar. It is now 2013. So, their goal is to double in 3 years.
We’ll do this by:
- Mobilizing more than 80,000 volunteers (both leaders and committee)
- Establishing sustainable ministries in 8,000 locations
All for the purpose of introducing more adolescents to Jesus Christ and helping them grow in their faith.
“Introducing”? To Jesus? Hi Jesus, this is Timmy, Timmy this is Jesus. More like mind numbing indoctrination.
They have to get into the public schools because many churches are losing membership. This group claims to have a staff of more than 3,000 with 28,000 volunteers. Their budget in 2012 was about $250 Million!
They have a section on their web page called statement of Faith. It has some fun things….
In the Scriptures, God reveals Himself as the living and true God, Creator of all things. Perfect in love and righteous in all His ways, this one God exists eternally as a Trinity of persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
“Perfect in love…”? Did they read the “good” book? More like a homicidal maniac!
God made man and woman in His image that He might have fellowship with us.
god has infinite power but wants to hang out with you. I have no desire to spend time talking to an ant and we are much closer in scale than humans to this god figure.
By His death in our place, Jesus revealed the divine love and upheld divine justice, removing our guilt and reconciling us to God.
He did not die for me, I did not ask for this. Additionally, in case you missed it, you will still die. Just sayin’! So, he did not take your place.
What do you think? Does any of this talk scare you?
